Raghu Shukla, an ex-Consultant Physician in the NHS, has been a habitual writer from his school days.
Since his first short story was published in the United Kingdom (in Candis in 1989), Raghu has edited an internationally contributed book, A Guide to the Care of the Elderly; contributed, in the Nineties, a series of medical articles to the Manchester Evening News; and had his short stories published in national and local magazines and anthologies.
Drawing on his long professional experience of extensive writing, editing and global travelling, his current preoccupation has been to complete two projects: A Writer’s Handbook, and this memoir of short stories incorporating medical matters, essays, travel anecdotes and serendipitous moments.
He now lives with his wife in Melrose in the Scottish Borders.
